Bank Account, Cash on Pickup, Deposits

Cash

We do not keep cash on premises – please bring correct change thanks. Cash on Delivery: Please ensure someone is there with the correct money, we do not set up and leave cakes that are unpaid for.

Internet banking

Must be made a minimum of 4 days before pickup – if we dont see the payment online thenn we cant release the cake. Account details: ANZ Bank New Lynn Branch, name of account: Auckland Cake Art 060153-0224355-00 – please use your name and date of function as reference and email us to let us know your payment or part payment has been made.

Credit cards, Eftpos and cheques

Sorry, we do not have Eftpos, PayWave and we no longer accept credit cards or cheques due to past customers dishonesty.

Deposit/Holding Fee

We now require a non-refundable holding fee (deposit) of $50 to hold your cake order if the order is between $100-500, larger cakes $500-$1000 require a deposit of $150, and extra large cakes over $1000 require a deposit of $500.

All deposits are subtracted from the final cost of your cake; the price we agreed on will be the only price you pay.

If you cancel or fail to pay for your order, your deposit will not be refunded. We will, however, refund your deposit if we cancel your order due to circumstances beyond our control.

Our reasons for changing this policy as of April 2013, is to prevent cakes being booked, not paid for or not picked up. This is always a problem in this industry so most commercial decorators take a non refundable deposit/booking fee which comes off the final cost of the cake.

Remainder of funds to pay

We prefer that all funds are fully paid 6 weeks in advance, under some circumstances we will accept a closer payment but will not accept cheques within this period, due to some past customers dishonesty in giving us cheques that bounce close to a wedding.

Cheques are NOT accepted at all the day of the wedding (again, past customers have ruined it by giving us bad cheques), but we will accept cash payments or authorised bank cheques, or MasterCard/Visa payments for the remainder of the funds. All Visa/MasterCard authorisations are drawn 1-2 weeks before the wedding.
